Geometric projection-based switching policy for multiple energy harvesting transmitters
نویسندگان
چکیده
Transmitter switching can provide resiliency and robustness to a communication system with multiple energy harvesting transmitters. However, excessive transmitter switching will bring heavy control overhead. In this paper, a geometric projection-based transmitter switching policy is proposed for a communication system with multiple energy harvesting transmitters and one receiver, which can reduce the number of switches. The results show that the proposed transmitter switching policy outperforms several heuristic ones. Index Terms Rechargeable wireless communications, energy harvesting, transmitter switching.

Power Allocation and Transmitter Switching for Broadcasting with Multiple Energy Harvesting Transmitters
With the advancement of battery technology, energy harvesting communication systems attracted great research attention in recent years. However, energy harvesting communication systems with multiple transmitters and multiple receivers have not been considered yet. In this paper, the problem of broadcasting in a communication system with multiple energy harvesting transmitters and multiple recei...
متن کاملInformation and Power Transfer by Energy Harvesting Transmitters over a Fading Multiple Access Channel with Minimum Rate Constraints
We consider the problem of Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer (SWIPT) over a fading multiple access channel with additive Gaussian noise. The transmitters as well as the receiver harvest energy from ambient sources. We assume that the transmitters have two classes of data to send, viz. delay sensitive and delay tolerant data. Each transmitter sends the delay sensitive data at ...
متن کاملEnergy Harvesting Multiple Access Channel with Peak Temperature Constraints
We consider a two-user energy harvesting multiple access channel where the temperatures of the nodes are affected by the electromagnetic waves caused by the data transmission. To protect the nodes from excess heat, power allocation policies should take into consideration the temperature of all the nodes. In this paper, we study the optimal power allocations when the temperatures of the nodes ar...
متن کاملOptimal Relaying in Energy Harvesting Wireless Networks with Wireless-Powered Relays
In this paper, we consider a wireless cooperative network with an energy harvesting relay which is powered by the energy harvested from ambient RF waves, such as that of a data packet. At any given time, the relay operates either in the energy harvesting (EH) mode or the data decoding (DD) mode, but not both. Separate energy and data buffers are kept at the relay to store the harvested energy a...
متن کاملNonorthogonal Multiple Access for Beamforming in Energy-Harvesting Enabled Networks
Wireless power transfer via radio-frequency (RF) radiation is regarded as a potential solution to energize energy-constrained users, who are deployed close to the base stations (near-by users). However, energy transfer requires much more transmit power than normal information transfer, which makes it very challenging to provide the quality of service in terms of throughput for all near-by users...
